**Job Summary**
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations independently. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of UAE accounting procedures, VAT compliance, financial reporting, and hands-on experience with QuickBooks and Zoho applications.
This role is especially suitable for candidates experienced in **accounting system migration**, as the company is transitioning from QuickBooks to Zoho Books and related Zoho applications.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger independently.
* Record and monitor daily financial transactions including invoicing, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
* Prepare monthly financial statements, month-end closing, year-end closing, and reconciliations.
* Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
* Manage petty cash, expense tracking, and internal financial controls.
* Assist in payroll processing and employee-related accounting tasks.
* Support month-end, quarter-end, and annual closing activities.
* Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards, company policies, and internal controls.
* Prepare VAT reports, maintain VAT documentation, and support tax filing requirements.
* Monitor cash flow and company expenses.
* Maintain organized filing systems for audit and financial records.
* Handle inventory accounting and maintain strong coordination with inventory operations.
* Support full migration from QuickBooks to Zoho Books, including data verification, reconciliation, and process setup.
* Improve accounting workflows and financial procedures aligned with UAE business practices.
**Requirements**
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
* 2–4 years of accounting experience in the UAE.
* Strong knowledge of **UAE accounting procedures and VAT regulations** (mandatory).
* Hands-on experience with:
* QuickBooks
* Zoho Books
* Zoho Inventory
* MS Office (especially Excel)
* Experience in **ERP/accounting software migration** is highly preferred.
* Strong knowledge of inventory management and stock reconciliation.
* Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Strong communication skills in English (reading, writing, and speaking).

* Experience handling accounting for UAE trading/contracting businesses is an advantage
Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per hour
