Accountant (Experienced in FMCG, Fresh Fruits, Flowers, Vegetables, Supermarket or Hypermarket)

**ACCOUNTANT** **(\*\_**Only candidates with experience as an Accountant in FMCG, fresh fruits, flowers, vegetables, supermarket, or hypermarket industries may apply.**\_\*)** **Responsibilities:** · Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records. · Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports. · Prepare receiving report and cost factor calculation prior to the arrival of shipment. · Computing landed cost and assisting in determining the selling prices with proper margins. · Comparing the supplier invoices with our orders and identifying the discrepancies. · Creating and uploading the incoming inventory management to the system. · Placing the claims to supplier with proper approval from the concerned. · Keeping track of all payments and expenditures, Including purchase orders, invoice statements etc. · Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances. · Paying vendors by scheduling pay check and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credit, · Generally responding to all vendor enquiries regarding finance. · Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are posted properly. · Verifying and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly statements · Assignment to the Abu Dhabi branch may be required, depending on operational requirements. · Covering of cash counter in the absence of cashier. · Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities. · Monitor and analyse financial data to identify trends and variances, and provide recommendations for improvement. · Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies and procedures. · Collaborate with other departments to provide financial information and support business decision-making. **Qualifications & Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field * Proven experience in FMCG, fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers, supermarket, or hypermarket industry is required * Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting * Experience in inventory accounting and landed cost calculation * Experience with FACT system and other accounting software is required * Proficiency in MS Excel * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * High level of accuracy and attention to detail * Good communication and interpersonal skills **How to Apply:** Please send your updated CV to [email protected] Experience: * FMCG, supermarket, or hypermarket industries: 5 years (Required) Work Location: In person
