Accountant

**Job Title:** Accountant – Retail / Fashion Industry **Location:** Dubai, UAE **Job Summary:** We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to join our growing retail business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounting operations, financial reporting, inventory control, and VAT compliance for our caps retail business. **Key Responsibilities:** **1. Bookkeeping & Daily Accounting** * Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records * Record daily transactions including sales, purchases, expenses, and receipts * Manage accounts payable and receivable * Perform bank and cash reconciliations **2. Month-End & Year-End Closing** * Prepare and complete monthly closing procedures * Reconcile general ledger accounts * Handle accruals, prepayments, and adjustments * Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting **3. Financial Reporting** * Prepare financial statements including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports * Analyze financial performance and provide insights to management * Assist in budgeting and forecasting * Support management with financial decision-making **4. Inventory Management** * Monitor and maintain inventory records * Track stock movement and cost of goods sold (COGS) * Conduct periodic stock counts and reconciliations * Identify discrepancies and implement inventory controls **5. Compliance & Taxation** * Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations * Prepare and file VAT returns * Maintain proper documentation for audits * Coordinate with external auditors when required **Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field * Minimum 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in retail or fashion industry * Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations * Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to work independently and meet deadlines **Preferred** * Experience in inventory-based businesses * Experience in retail accounting and stock management **Job Type: Full-time** Work Location: In person
