Accountant for F&B

**Job Title: F&B Accountant (Cost Controller)** Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented **F&B Accountant**. You will be responsible for tracking daily revenue, managing vendor payments, and—most importantly—monitoring Food & Beverage costs to ensure maximum profitability. Key Responsibilities * **Cost Control:** Calculate daily/weekly food and beverage costs and investigate significant variances between theoretical and actual costs. * **Inventory Management:** Oversee monthly physical stock counts and reconcile them with the Point of Sale (POS) and accounting systems. * **Accounts Payable:** Process invoices, verify deliveries against Purchase Orders (POs), and manage relationships with food and liquor vendors. * **Menu Engineering:** Work with the Executive Chef to analyze menu item profitability and suggest pricing adjustments. * **Reporting:** Prepare monthly P&L statements specifically for the F&B department, highlighting waste, spoilage, and discounts. Requirements & Qualifications * **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Hospitality Management. * **Experience:** 2–4 years of accounting experience specifically within a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment. * **Technical Skills:** Proficiency in Excel and experience with F&B software (e.g., Micros, Oracle Simphony, QuickBooks, or Xero). * **Analytical Mindset:** Ability to spot a 2% discrepancy in liquor costs and trace it back to the source.
