We are a growing contracting and interior fit-out company seeking a highly capable and experienced Senior Accountant to manage the full spectrum of accounting and financial operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in project accounting, financial reporting, cost control, and compliance within the UAE construction/fit-out industry, and the ability to independently manage accounting functions while supporting management in financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management & Reporting
Maintain complete books of accounts (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable)
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
Perform variance analysis and provide financial insights to management
Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing
2. Project Accounting & Cost Control
Handle project-wise accounting for all fit-out and contracting projects
Track project costs, budgets, expenses, and profitability
Monitor material, labor, and subcontractor costs
Reconcile project progress with invoicing, LPOs, and delivery notes
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
3. Accounts Receivable & Payable
Manage client invoicing, progress billing, and collections follow-up
Maintain receivables aging and ensure timely recovery
Handle supplier and subcontractor payments as per contract terms
Prepare payment schedules and manage cash outflows
4. Cash Flow & Banking
Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts
Perform bank reconciliations and manage daily financial transactions
Handle banking activities including guarantees, LCs, and documentation
5. VAT, Tax & Compliance
Manage VAT filing, reconciliation, and compliance in the UAE
Ensure adherence to Corporate Tax requirements and financial regulations
Maintain proper documentation for audit and regulatory purposes
6. Procurement & Documentation Control
Verify supplier invoices against LPOs, contracts, and BOQs
Maintain records of invoices, contracts, LPOs, and project documentation
Ensure proper financial documentation and internal controls
7. Payroll & Administration Support
Support payroll processing, overtime verification, and employee settlements
Maintain records related to company expenses, insurance, and other financial obligations
8. Audit & External Coordination
Coordinate with auditors, VAT consultants, and banks
Assist in internal and external audits
Maintain audit-ready financial records
9. Strategic Financial Support
Provide financial insights and recommendations to management
Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements
Support business decisions with financial analysis
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3–5 years of UAE experience in contracting / interior fit-out
Strong expertise in project accounting and cost control
In-depth knowledge of UAE VAT and financial regulations
Experience handling full accounting cycle independently
Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems)
Advanced Excel and reporting skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
