Gulf Orchid Perfume Manufacturing is looking to hire a skilled **Accountant** to support the finance department. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting day-to-day accounting operations within a manufacturing environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Accounts Receivable Management:**
* Monitor customer payments and ensure timely collection of outstanding balances.
* Follow up on overdue invoices and maintain effective communication with clients.
* Perform regular reconciliation of receivable accounts and ensure accurate documentation.
**Accounts Payable Processing:**
* Review and process supplier invoices and ensure timely settlement of payments.
* Maintain accurate payable records and resolve discrepancies with vendors when required.
* Ensure proper filing and tracking of all payment-related documents.
**General Ledger Maintenance:**
* Record and post financial transactions in the general ledger system.
* Assist in maintaining accurate and updated accounting records.
* Conduct periodic reconciliations of ledger accounts.
**Financial Closing Activities:**
* Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
* Ensure all accounting entries are completed and financial records are properly finalized.
* Assist external auditors by providing required documentation during audits.
**Cost Tracking & Analysis:**
* Assist in monitoring production and operational costs.
* Prepare basic cost reports and support budgeting activities.
* Contribute to identifying cost-saving opportunities.
**ERP System Usage:**
* Maintain accounting data using ERP systems.
* Ensure accuracy of entries and support system-based reporting.
* Assist in updating and reconciling financial data within the ERP platform.
**Requirements:**
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
* Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
* Good understanding of AP, AR, and general ledger functions.
* Knowledge of cost accounting principles is an advantage.
* Experience with ERP systems is required.
* Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
* Ability to work independently and within a team.
* Good communication skills.
* Arabic language proficiency (spoken and written) is required.
* Immediate availability preferred (visit visa or cancelled visa).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
