Architectural Drafter (Experienced)

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Drafter with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience (at least 2–3 years within the UAE) to join our design and construction team. You will be responsible for converting complex architectural concepts into high-quality technical drawings, ensuring full compliance with Dubai’s stringent building codes and authority standards. **Key Responsibilities** * Technical Drafting: Prepare comprehensive architectural drawing packages, including floor plans, sections, elevations, and detailed construction/shop drawings. * Authority Submissions: Develop and format drawings specifically for Dubai Municipality (DM), Dubai Development Authority (DDA), Trakhees, and Civil Defense (DCD) portals. * Coordination: Collaborate closely with in-house design team and develop designs based on given instruction. * Site Integration: Conduct site visits to verify as-built conditions and ensure that construction activities align strictly with approved plans. * Revisions: Manage and update drawing sets promptly based on feedback, site variations, or client requests. * Standardization: Maintain organized project folders and ensure all drawings adhere to company standards regarding layering, line weights, and annotations. **Required Qualifications & Skills** * Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Architectural drafting or certifications in Drafting Software (AutoCAD). * Experience: \* Minimum 5 years of experience as an Architectural Drafter. * Experience in the Dubai construction market is mandatory. * Proven track record working on high-rise buildings, residential villas, or mixed-use developments. **Software Knowledge:** * Expert Proficiency: AutoCAD (2D & 3D). * Strong Knowledge: Revit (BIM modeling and coordination). * Advantageous: SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop (for client presentations), and MS Office. **Technical Knowledge:** * Deep understanding of UAE Building Codes and Life Safety standards. * Ability to read and interpret complex architectural, structural and MEP layouts. * Knowledge of construction and finishing materials. **Personal Attributes:** * Attention to Detail: Precision is critical to avoid costly site errors or authority rejections. * Communication: Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus) with the ability to coordinate effectively with site engineers and project managers. * Time Management: Ability to meet tight deadlines for slab pours and weekly site progress reports.
