Assistant Finance Manager is responsible for managing the Finance department and accounting functions of Adventureland Sharjah. This role ensures the proper and timely closing of books on a monthly and quarterly basis while overseeing financial planning, analysis, and reporting. The position is critical for driving business performance through financial insights, managing annual budgets, and ensuring strict compliance with international financial standards and statutory requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
**Financial Operations & Reporting**
* Plan, organize, and execute financial tasks and projects to ensure timely closing of books as per corporate deadlines and in line with IFRS.
* Lead the month-end closing process and oversee the preparation and submission of management accounts, including forecasts.
* Prepare and manage cash flows required for both short-term and long-term financial objectives.
* Support the General Manager and Group Finance in the preparation of board reports and other group-level reporting requirements.
**Strategic Planning & Analysis**
* Develop and implement plans for annual budget preparations and long-term strategic plans
* . Provide detailed financial insight and analysis to the General Manager and senior members to drive business performance.
* Manage and monitor metrics, KPI tracking, and financial reports.
**Compliance, Audit & Risk Management**
* Coordinate with internal and external auditors to oversee the statutory audit and the preparation of accounts.
* Understand and calculate financial risks, including internal control risks.
* Provide assistance in the implementation of new financial systems, interfaces, or system improvement initiatives.
**Qualifications & Experience:**
* **Education:** Masters’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
**Technical Skills:**
* Sound accounting knowledge and proficiency in IFRS/IAS and local regulations.
* Must have experience with Oracle
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Wor
* **Certification:** Qualified accountant (CPA, ACA, CMA, ACCA, or CIMA) is must.
* **Experience:** Minimum of 10 years' experience in a finance function, with proven leadership experience.
