The **Assistant Procurement Engineer** is responsible for supporting the procurement cycle by analyzing technical requirements, coordinating with vendors, evaluating quotations, negotiating commercial terms, and ensuring timely issuance of Purchase Orders. The role requires strong technical understanding, negotiation skills, and accuracy in documentation. **Key Responsibilities** * **Technical Requirement Analysis** — Review and understand technical specifications, drawings, and project requirements before initiating procurement. * **Vendor Communication** — Coordinate with existing and new vendors for product details, pricing, lead time, and compliance. * **Quotation Comparison** — Obtain a minimum of three quotations, prepare comparison sheets, and recommend the best techno‑commercial option. * **Purchase Order Preparation** — Draft and issue Purchase Orders in line with approved terms, specifications, and budgets. * **Negotiation** — Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and warranty conditions to achieve cost savings. * **Cost Saving Tracking** — Maintain cost‑saving data and highlight procurement efficiencies. * **Vendor Follow‑up** — Track order status, ensure timely delivery, and resolve supply issues. * **ERP Documentation** — Update procurement activities, POs, and vendor details in ERP or relevant software. * **Reporting** — Prepare weekly procurement status reports and submit to HOD. * **Compliance** — Ensure all procurement activities follow company policies and project requirements. **Required Skills & Competencies** * **Technical Understanding** — Ability to interpret mechanical specifications and Oil & Gas requirements. * **Negotiation Skills** — Confident in handling commercial discussions. * **Analytical Skills** — Strong ability to compare quotations and evaluate cost‑benefit. * **Communication Skills** — Clear communication with vendors and internal teams. * **ERP/Software Knowledge** — Experience with ERP or procurement software. * **Time Management** — Ability to manage multiple RFQs and deadlines. **Essential Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in **Mechanical Engineering**. * **1–2 years of experience** in Procurement within the **Oil & Gas industry**. Pay: From AED3,500.00 per month Work Location: In person
