Join us. **Job Description** We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Assistant Resident Engineer to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will provide essential support to the Resident Engineer in overseeing construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and maintaining effective coordination between all project stakeholders. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment while maintaining transparent communication with contractors, consultants, and authorities. * Review and analyze Inspectors' Daily Reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project standards and specifications. * Prepare comprehensive Engineer's Daily Diary summaries documenting daily activities, key progress milestones, and on-site observations. * Provide oversight of Inspectors' daily activities, including task assignments, performance monitoring, and technical guidance to support project objectives. * Evaluate Contractor's inspection, surveying, and testing requests and review subsequent reports for conformance with project specifications. * Review and approve Contractor's shop drawings, material submittals, and construction methodologies as delegated by the Resident Engineer. * Monitor and verify the accuracy and performance of the Contractor's survey team, ensuring precise setting-out works and dimensional compliance. * Prepare meeting minutes and technical correspondence as assigned by the Resident Engineer, maintaining clear and organized project documentation. * Coordinate with Contractor's supervisory staff regarding work sequence, construction methodology, schedule compliance, and resource allocation. * Monitor construction progress against the Contractor's approved baseline program and identify schedule deviations promptly. * Conduct continuous field inspections of work in progress, providing technical consultation and guidance to both the Resident Engineer and Contractor teams. * Prepare written and verbal reports for the Resident Engineer on technical, contractual, and procedural matters affecting project delivery. * Review and verify as-built drawings in coordination with inspectors and surveyors to ensure accurate project documentation. * Ensure all site activities are executed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards. * Identify non-conformances and quality issues, initiate corrective actions, and follow up diligently to ensure timely resolution. * Support the Resident Engineer in reviewing technical submittals, progress reports, and comprehensive project documentation. * Maintain effective coordination and communication between the supervision team and the Contractor to resolve site-related issues efficiently and transparently. * Liaise and coordinate with relevant Abu Dhabi authorities and utility service providers for inspections, approvals, and Notices of Completion (NOCs). * Review authority-related drawings and ensure compliance with each authority's latest standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements. * Follow up on authority inspection requests and assist in resolving comments or non-compliance issues in a timely manner. * Ensure timely submission and approval of all required authority NOCs for construction phases, testing, and final project handover. * Attend authority meetings and provide technical input to support the Resident Engineer during coordination discussions and progress reviews. * Maintain organized records of authority communications, approvals, and correspondence for project documentation and handover purposes. **Qualifications** * Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline from a recognized and accredited university. * Minimum 8-10 years of hands-on experience in construction supervision, site inspection, and project delivery a
