BIM Information Engineer

### **Job brief** We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical BIM Information Engineer to manage, coordinate, and govern Building Information Modeling (BIM) data and workflows for major infrastructure and construction projects in Qatar. In this role, you will take technical ownership of the Common Data Environment (CDE), ensure complete data integrity across multi-disciplinary models, and enforce strict adherence to international and project-specific BIM standards. The ideal candidate will combine a strong engineering background with advanced digital asset management capabilities to bridge the gap between design information and field execution. ### **Responsibilities** * Establish, manage, and maintain the project's Common Data Environment (CDE) to ensure seamless and secure information exchange among all stakeholders. * Oversee the integration of multi-disciplinary BIM models (Civil, Structural, Architectural, and MEP), identifying and resolving complex data clashes and geometric inconsistencies. * Enforce project BIM standards, Information Delivery Plans (IDP), and Asset Information Requirements (AIR) across all contractor and subcontractor teams. * Conduct regular quality control audits on BIM data, parameters, and metadata models to guarantee accuracy and compliance with ISO 19650 standards. * Coordinate with project planning, design, and execution teams to extract precise quantity take-offs (5D BIM) and scheduling data (4D BIM) from live models. * Manage the transition of information from construction models into Asset Information Models (AIM) to facilitate smooth client handovers for Facility Management (6D BIM). * Provide technical guidance and support to site teams, design coordinators, and external consultants regarding BIM information workflows and software troubleshooting. ### **Requirements** * **Experience:** Minimum of 8 to 10 years of overall professional engineering experience, with at least 4 to 6 years of dedicated experience functioning as a BIM Information Engineer, BIM Coordinator, or BIM Data Manager on large-scale civil infrastructure projects. * **Regional Experience:** Prior professional experience within Qatar or the broader GCC region is a distinct and highly valued advantage. * **Education:** Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical discipline. * **Technical Skills:** Elite proficiency in industry-standard BIM platforms (such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, and Bentley OpenBuildings) and Common Data Environments (such as Aconex, ProjectWise, or Autodesk Construction Cloud). Strong knowledge of visual programming tools like Dynamo or Grasshopper is highly preferred. * **Standards & Compliance:** Deep operational understanding of ISO 19650 frameworks, COBie data structures, and OpenBIM standards. * **Status:** Must be locally available in Qatar with a valid Qatar ID (QID). * **Skills:** Exceptional structural problem-solving abilities, high attention to data detail, and excellent written and verbal technical communication skills.
