Business Development Manager – General Insurance (Arabic Speaker Mandatory)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) with a strong background in the Insurance Brokerage industry. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in General Insurance sales within the UAE market and a demonstrated ability to develop and manage high-value client portfolios.
This role focuses on acquiring new clients, strengthening existing relationships, and driving sustainable revenue growth across General Insurance lines.
Key Responsibilities
Client Acquisition & Portfolio Development
* Identify, engage, and acquire new corporate and individual clients.
* Leverage existing networks and market relationships to generate new business opportunities.
* Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through referrals, networking, and direct business development activities.
* Expand the company's General Insurance portfolio by securing new accounts and developing existing client relationships.
Sales & Revenue Growth
* Achieve and exceed assigned sales and revenue targets.
* Promote and sell General Insurance products, including Property, Engineering, Marine, Liability, Motor, and Group Medical Insurance.
* Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities to maximize client value and revenue generation.
* Develop tailored insurance solutions based on client requirements and risk profiles.
Relationship Management
* Build long-term relationships with clients to ensure retention and satisfaction.
* Act as a trusted advisor by providing professional insurance guidance and market insights.
* Conduct regular client meetings and portfolio reviews to identify growth opportunities.
Market Research & Business Strategy
* Stay updated on industry developments, competitor activities, and market trends.
* Identify new market opportunities and contribute to business growth strategies.
* Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement sales initiatives.
Coordination & Compliance
* Work closely with operations, claims, and servicing teams to ensure smooth onboarding and policy issuance.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, UAE insurance regulations, and industry best practices.
* Maintain accurate client records and documentation within the CRM system.
Reporting
* Prepare regular sales reports, pipeline updates, and revenue forecasts.
* Monitor portfolio performance and provide recommendations for business growth.
RequirementsExperience
* **3–5 years of experience in Business Development or Sales within a UAE Insurance Brokerage firm.**
* **Strong experience in General Insurance products is mandatory.**
* Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
* Experience managing a substantial client portfolio is highly preferred.
Education
* Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Insurance, or a related field preferred.
Skills & Competencies
* **Arabic Speaker (Mandatory).**
* Strong knowledge of the UAE General Insurance market.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Strong business development and client acquisition capabilities.
* Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to work independently and thrive in a target-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications
* Existing network of corporate clients and decision-makers within the UAE market.
* Experience handling SME, Corporate, and High-Net-Worth clients.
* Valid UAE Driving License preferred.
* Immediate joiners or candidates with a notice period of 30 days or less are preferred.

* Revenue generated from new and existing clients.
* Number of new client acquisitions.

* Cross-selling and upselling performance.
* Achievement of monthly and annual sales targets.
