## Job Title: Civil Draughtsman (Roads & Infrastructure) \*\*Location:\*\* Sharjah, UAE \*\*Job Type:\*\* Full-time \*\*Department:\*\* Engineering / Technical Design \*\*Reports To:\*\* Project Manager / Senior Civil Engineer ### Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented \*\*Civil Draughtsman\*\* with specialized experience in \*\*road networks and sewerage/drainage infrastructure projects\*\*. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming engineering concepts, calculations, and field data into detailed, accurate, and compliant construction drawings. You will play a critical role in ensuring our infrastructure projects—ranging from main road networks to intricate pipeline and house connection systems—are executed seamlessly. ### Key Responsibilities \* \*\*Drafting & Design:\*\* Prepare detailed alignment sheets, plan and profile drawings, cross-sections, and structural details for road works, sewerage networks, and drainage systems. \* \*\*Software Mastery:\*\* Utilize \*\*AutoCAD\*\* and \*\*AutoCAD Civil 3D\*\* to create, modify, and optimize complex 2D and 3D civil engineering models and infrastructure layouts. \* \*\*Data Integration:\*\* Import and manipulate topographic survey data, digital terrain models (DTMs), and contour data to establish accurate base maps. \* \*\*Standard Compliance:\*\* Ensure all engineering drawings comply with local authority standards (e.g., RTA, Municipalities, and relevant utility authorities) and internal company quality protocols. \* \*\*Shop Drawings & As-Builts:\*\* Generate precise shop drawings for site execution and update final \*\*As-Built drawings\*\* based on redline markups received from site engineers. \* \*\*Quantity Take-offs:\*\* Assist the commercial and procurement teams with accurate material take-offs and volume calculations (earthworks, cut and fill, pipe lengths) directly from CAD models. \* \*\*Coordination:\*\* Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, and Surveyors to resolve design discrepancies and adapt drawings to actual site conditions. ### Qualifications & Requirements \* \*\*Education:\*\* \* \*\*Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering\*\*, or \* Diploma in Civil Engineering / ITI in Civil Drafting with extensive practical drafting experience. \* \*\*Experience:\*\* Minimum of 3–5 years of proven experience as a Civil Draughtsman or Junior Engineer, with a strong portfolio specifically in \*\*road construction, sewerage networks, stormwater systems, and utility lines\*\*. \* \*\*Technical Skills:\*\* \* Exceptional proficiency in \*\*AutoCAD\*\* and \*\*AutoCAD Civil 3D\*\* (pipe networks, corridors, surfaces, and grading are highly essential). \* Strong ability to read, interpret, and convert structural, architectural, and survey data. \* Familiarity with local UAE infrastructure design guidelines and authority submission procedures is highly preferred. \* \*\*Soft Skills:\*\* \* Sharp eye for detail and high standards for accuracy. \* Strong time-management skills to meet tight project deadlines. \* Good communication and teamwork capabilities.
