Civil Engineer

The Civil Engineer is responsible for overseeing the planning, design, execution, and supervision of construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring full compliance with UAE regulations, local authority requirements, and international engineering standards. The role focuses on delivering projects efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and cost control. Additionally, the Civil Engineer coordinates with project stakeholders, monitors progress, and ensures that all works are completed within approved timelines and budgets, contributing to the successful delivery of projects and overall operational excellence. Key Responsibilities * Plan, design, and supervise civil engineering projects including roads, buildings, drainage, utilities, and infrastructure works * Prepare and review drawings, specifications, BOQs, method statements, and technical reports * Ensure compliance with UAE regulations and local authorities such as: * Dubai Municipality (DM) * Abu Dhabi Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) * Trakhees, RTA, DEWA, ADDC, ADM (as applicable) * Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and government authorities * Conduct site inspections and monitor construction progress and quality * Ensure implementation of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards as per UAE laws * Review and approve materials, shop drawings, and technical submittals * Manage project schedules, cost control, and risk mitigation * Prepare progress reports and attend technical and coordination meetings * Resolve site issues, technical discrepancies, and design conflicts * Ensure final handover documentation and as-built drawings are completed Qualifications & Experience * Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university * Minimum **3–7 years** of relevant experience in the UAE (depending on role level) * Proven experience in construction, infrastructure, or consultancy projects * Familiarity with UAE building codes, specifications, and approval procedures Certifications & Licenses (Preferred / As Required) * Valid UAE Engineering Society Membership * Municipality-approved Engineer license (DM / ADM / Trakhees, if applicable) * PMP or equivalent certification is an advantage * Valid UAE driving license (preferred for site-based roles) Technical Skills * Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Revit * Knowledge of project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project) * Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and standards * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and contracts Soft Skills * Strong communication and coordination skills * Leadership and team management abilities * Problem-solving and decision-making skills * Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines * Attention to detail and commitment to quality Health, Safety & Compliance * Ensure compliance with UAE HSE laws and project-specific safety plans * Promote safe work practices and conduct risk assessments Report and manage incidents according to company and legal requirements Job Type: Full-time Work Location: In person
