Civil Engineer/Site Engineer

Job Responsibilities of CIvil Engineer(Must have experience in Consultancy) 1. Project Supervision & Site Management * Supervise all civil and structural construction activities at the project site. * Ensure that the work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and contract documents. * Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with the project schedule. * Coordinate daily site activities with contractors, subcontractors, and consultants. 2. Quality Control & Assurance * Inspect construction works to ensure quality standards are maintained. * Review and approve material submittals, shop drawings, and method statements. * Conduct site inspections and witness testing of materials and completed works. * Ensure compliance with local authority regulations and international standards. 3. Contract Administration * Interpret contract documents and provide technical guidance to the contractor. * Review contractor's progress claims and variation orders. * Monitor contract compliance and recommend corrective actions when necessary. * Maintain proper documentation of site instructions and correspondence. 4. Coordination & Communication * Liaise with clients, architects, MEP engineers, and other stakeholders. * Conduct site meetings and prepare meeting minutes. * Coordinate with local authorities for inspections and approvals. * Resolve technical and construction-related issues on site. 5. Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance * Ensure that all site activities comply with HSE regulations and company policies. * Monitor safe working practices and identify potential hazards. * Promote a safe working environment and enforce safety standards. 6. Progress Monitoring & Reporting * Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports. * Monitor project milestones and identify potential delays. * Recommend solutions to mitigate project risks and maintain timelines. * Maintain accurate site records, including inspection reports and logs. 7. Technical Review * Review and approve shop drawings, material submissions, and as-built drawings. * Verify setting out, levels, dimensions, and structural elements. * Ensure proper implementation of design changes and approved revisions. * Assist in resolving design discrepancies and technical queries. 8. Handover & Project Close-Out * Prepare snagging and de-snagging reports. * Ensure all defects are rectified before project handover. * Verify submission of operation manuals, warranties, and as-built documentation. * Coordinate final inspections and project completion certificates. Key Skills & Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. * Minimum 7-10 years of experience in construction supervision and resident engineering. * Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and local authority regulations. * Experience with project management and quality control procedures. * Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management software. * Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. * Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work under pressure.
