**Head of Sales / Commercial Manager – Construction, Fabrication & Steel Structures**

We handle design, fabrication, supply, and installation across the UAE.
We are now looking for a strong **Head of Sales / Commercial Manager** who can take full responsibility for our sales department, build a proper sales team, improve quotation follow-up, close more projects, and increase company revenue.
Role Objective
The selected candidate must be able to **own the complete sales function**.
This is not only a follow-up role. This is a leadership role for someone who has already built sales teams, managed project-based sales, handled clients, controlled quotations, and achieved revenue growth in a similar industry.
The person must be able to create a sales system where every inquiry, quotation, follow-up, negotiation, and closing is properly tracked and controlled.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Revenue Growth
* Take full responsibility for company sales performance.
* Build and manage a professional sales team.
* Set monthly sales targets and ensure achievement.
* Improve inquiry-to-quotation and quotation-to-order conversion.
* Develop strategies to increase sales from contractors, consultants, developers, facility managers, factories, warehouses, government/private projects, and end users.
Quotation & Commercial Control
* Coordinate with estimation and design teams to prepare accurate quotations.
* Review quotations before sending to clients.
* Ensure pricing, scope, exclusions, payment terms, and delivery timelines are commercially correct.
* Follow up aggressively on all submitted quotations.
* Negotiate with clients and close deals.
Client Management
* Handle key clients directly.
* Attend meetings and site visits when required.
* Understand client requirements, drawings, site conditions, and project urgency.
* Build long-term relationships with contractors, consultants, procurement teams, and project managers.
Team Building
* Hire, train, and manage sales executives, technical sales engineers, and coordinators.
* Create daily/weekly sales reporting systems.
* Monitor team activity, follow-ups, quotation status, and closing performance.
* Hold the team accountable for targets and results.
Sales System & Process
* Implement CRM or lead tracking system.
* Maintain pipeline reports for all inquiries and quotations.
* Prepare weekly sales reports for management.
* Identify why quotations are not converting and fix the gaps.
* Coordinate with operations, production, and project teams before committing timelines to clients.
Required Experience
Candidates must have:
* Minimum **7–10 years UAE sales/commercial experience**.
* Minimum **3–5 years in sales leadership role**.
* Proven experience in one or more of the following industries:
* Steel fabrication
* Tensile structures
* Car parking shades
* Tents and shade structures
* Construction subcontracting
* Architectural metal works
* Pergolas / canopies / structural works
* MEP / facade / fit-out / project-based contracting business
Mandatory Requirement
Candidate must be able to clearly demonstrate:
* Sales team built in previous company.
* Number of salespeople managed.
* Monthly or yearly sales targets handled.
* Actual revenue achieved.
* Types of projects closed.
* Client categories handled.
* Sales process or CRM system implemented.
General sales experience without proof will not be enough.
Skills Required
* Strong leadership and team management.
* Excellent client handling and negotiation skills.
* Strong commercial understanding.
* Ability to read drawings and understand project scope.
* Knowledge of BOQ, quotations, payment terms, variations, and project timelines.
* Strong follow-up discipline.
* Good UAE market knowledge.
* Ability to work under pressure and achieve targets.
Preferred Candidate
The ideal candidate should be someone who has already worked as:
* Sales Manager
* Commercial Manager
* Business Development Manager
* Head of Sales
* Sales Director
* Technical Sales Manager
in a construction, fabrication, steel structure, shade structure, or project-based contracting company.
Salary & Benefits
* Salary: **AED 6,000 – AED 15,000 per month**, depending on experience and proven track record.
