Start on as soon as possible **Starting date** ASAP **Duration** 18 months (Extendable) **Hours/rotation:** Rotation of 60 days on site and 10 days off (paid) & 2 days traveling (paid). **Salary range:** Excellent salary package with benefits. **Benefits:** Single Status. Round trip ticket on each rotation (Economy class). **Job summary/Role description** * Commissioning Electrical Assistant executes the activities pertaining to his / her discipline in compliance with the quality requirements, health / environmental / safety regulations and following the stated procedures. * He / she reports to the Commissioning Electrical Supervisor. * He / she is assigned to the project by AVIMP Head of Department. **Duties and responsibilities** * To implement the pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures for electrical equipment. * Execute with the assigned crew from the subcontractor all the activities pertaining to the discipline. * Ensure effective utilization of commissioning manpower and consumables. * Ensure the execution of vendor’s specialists field activities with the assigned resources from the subcontractor as per vendor’s representative plan. * Perform Checklist as per supervisor instructions. * Prepare the forms for all tests to be performed and ensure submission of the certificates, duly signed by involved parties for final handover to the certification engineer (QA / QC). * To assure the proper safety procedures are followed during cable tests (meggering, induction test), test of motors, transformers, relays, electrical panels etc. * Can be the authorized person designated by the site manager to receive or issue a permit to work according to the project permit to work procedure. * Assistance to supervisor for expediting of pending punch list Items in accordance with commissioning superintendent (COT) priorities. * Assistance to supervisor for coordination and supervision of construction support activities during the performance of the pre-commissioning, commissioning activities. **Person Specification** **Knowledge & Qualifications** * Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. **Experience** * At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in construction of large oil & gas plants / EPC projects. **Skills and Abilities** * Excellent communications and interpersonal skills. * Attention to detail, management skills. * Team-oriented skills, self-motivation and direction, with strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution.
