Counter Sales Executive – Job Duties (Building Materials Trading Company)
**Position:** Counter Sales Executive
**Industry:** Building Materials Trading
Key Responsibilities
* Attend walk-in customers and understand their requirements.
* Provide product information, specifications, pricing, and availability of building materials.
* Prepare quotations, sales orders, and invoices accurately.
* Coordinate with the warehouse team for stock availability and timely delivery.
* Follow up on customer inquiries and convert inquiries into sales.
* Maintain good relationships with contractors, builders, and retail customers.
* Ensure proper display and arrangement of products in the showroom/counter area.
* Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally.
* Process cash, card, and credit sales as per company policies.
* Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to branch revenue growth.
* Update customer records and sales transactions in the ERP/accounting system.
* Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams regarding stock requirements.
* Conduct regular follow-ups with existing customers to generate repeat business.
* Assist in stock counts and inventory verification when required.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, and credit procedures.
* Prepare daily sales reports and submit them to the Branch Manager.
* Promote new products, special offers, and company marketing campaigns.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and professional sales counter environment.
Required Skills
* Knowledge of building materials, hardware, paints, plumbing, electrical, and construction products.
* Strong communication and customer service skills.
* Sales negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
* Basic computer knowledge and ERP software experience.
* Ability to work under pressure and achieve sales targets.
* Good numerical and documentation skills.

* Branch Manager
KPI (Performance Indicators)
* Monthly sales achievement.
* New customer acquisition.
* Customer satisfaction and retention.
* Quotation-to-sales conversion ratio.
* Accuracy of sales documentation.
* Collection support and credit compliance.
**Experience:** 2–5 years in counter sales, preferably in a building materials trading company.
