Designs Coordinator

### **Job brief** We are seeking a highly organized and technically adept Designs Coordinator to manage and streamline the design lifecycle for major construction and infrastructure projects in Qatar. In this role, you will act as the vital bridge between design engineering teams, clients, consultants, and site execution forces. Your primary focus will be to ensure that design submittals, technical revisions, and structural drawings are reviewed, coordinated, and approved smoothly without impacting project timelines. The ideal candidate will possess a strong engineering background and excellent documentation control skills. ### **Responsibilities** * Coordinate, track, and manage the flow of design deliverables, blueprints, and technical submittals between engineering consultants, clients, and project teams. * Review incoming design drawings and architectural layouts to identify cross-disciplinary clashes (such as civil, structural, and MEP) before site execution. * Maintain a meticulous, up-to-date design register, tracking the status of Requests for Information (RFIs), design changes, and authority approval stages. * Organize and lead design review meetings, ensuring that client modifications and technical feedback are accurately integrated by the engineering teams. * Ensure all design packages strictly comply with project specifications, local regulatory standards, and client-approved criteria. * Collaborate closely with Planning Engineers and Site Managers to ensure approved "Issued for Construction" (IFC) drawings are delivered to the field on schedule. * Assist in evaluating design variations and technical scope changes, documenting their potential impacts on project costs and timelines. ### **Requirements** * **Experience:** Minimum of 5 to 7 years of overall professional engineering or design coordination experience, with a solid track record working on civil infrastructure or large-scale building projects. * **Regional Experience:** Prior professional experience within Qatar or the broader GCC region is a distinct and highly valued advantage. * **Education:** Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a closely related engineering discipline. * **Technical Skills:** Highly proficient in AutoCAD and engineering document management systems (such as Aconex, ProjectWise, or similar platforms). Strong reading comprehension of multi-disciplinary engineering drawings. * **Status:** Must be locally available in Qatar with a valid Qatar ID (QID). * **Skills:** Elite organizational and time-management skills, exceptional attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
