**Director of Operations & Commercial Strategy** Location: Dubai, UAE Reporting to: Founder/Director Working alongside: General Manager Working with: Project Manager, Senior Manager – Facilities & Projects, Sales & Marketing Teams **Role Overview** Tashkeel is seeking a commercially driven and operationally disciplined leader to oversee the performance, structure, and growth of the organisation and its consultancy arm, Tasmeem Tashkeel. This role sits alongside the General Manager and is responsible for ensuring that all departments operate cohesively, with clear systems, strong accountability, and consistent revenue generation. The role bridges creative output with business performance, ensuring that ideas are translated into sustainable and profitable outcomes. **Key Responsibilities** **1. Revenue & Business Performance** * Drive and ensure achievement of monthly revenue targets (minimum AED 2M) * Work closely with sales, marketing, and business development teams to define and distribute targets * Actively contribute to business development, partnerships, and client acquisition * Identify and develop new revenue streams across consultancy, workshops, retail, and events **2. Operational Leadership** * Oversee day-to-day operations across all departments * Ensure alignment between teams, with clear communication and accountability * Work in close collaboration with the General Manager to maintain continuity in organisational knowledge and culture * Act as the central point of coordination across department heads **3. Systems & Process Management** * Enforce structured workflows and reporting systems, including the use of Zoho * Ensure all projects, approvals, and communications are properly documented and traceable * Build operational clarity across sales, project delivery, and financial reporting * Eliminate reliance on informal or undocumented processes **4. Project & Delivery Oversight** * Maintain visibility across all consultancy and internal projects * Support proposal development, pricing, and resource allocation to ensure profitability * Work closely with the Project Manager and design teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery * Resolve operational challenges that impact delivery or client satisfaction **5. Client & Stakeholder Engagement** * Represent Tashkeel and Tasmeem Tashkeel in high-level client interactions * Engage with government entities such as Dubai Culture, corporate clients, and private stakeholders * Lead or support presentations, proposals, and negotiations * Ensure all external engagement reflects the organisation’s positioning and standards **6. Team Leadership & Culture** * Lead department heads across operations, design, sales, and administration * Build a performance-driven yet collaborative working environment * Ensure teams are aligned with business goals and operating with accountability * Identify gaps in performance, structure, and resourcing, and take corrective action **Candidate Background** We are specifically seeking candidates with a background in: * Creative consultancies or design studios * Multidisciplinary practices handling projects from concept through to production and delivery **The ideal candidate will have:** * 10–15+ years of relevant experience * Proven experience managing end-to-end project lifecycles * A strong track record of driving revenue within a creative environment * Experience leading cross-functional teams including design, operations, and business development **Core Competencies** * Strong commercial awareness and ability to translate creative work into revenue * Operational discipline with experience in systems, workflows, and reporting * Confident client-facing presence with high-level stakeholders * Ability to balance creative sensitivity with business performance * High level of organisation, accountability, and attention to detail **Personality Profile** * Structured, calm, and decisive * Commercially minded without compromising brand integrity * Collaborative leader who can work effectively alongside senior management * Solutions-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability **Compensation & Performance Structure** Base Salary: AED 25,000 – 30,000 per month **Performance-Based Incentive:** * Achievement of monthly revenue targets contributes to eligibility for annual performance incentives * At year-end, a bonus pool is calculated based on overall profitability * Bonus distribution is managed by the accounts team and allocated based on: * Project performance * Individual contribution to revenue generation and delivery * Level of involvement across successfully executed work This structure rewards both individual impact and team performance, aligning operational leadership with business growth. **Position Summary** This role is designed for a leader who understands how to operate within a creative environment while ensuring that the business performs with clarity, discipline,
