Draftsman – Steel IndustryJob Title **Draftsman (Steel Industry)** Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Draftsman to prepare detailed technical drawings, fabrication drawings, and shop drawings for steel structures and related projects. The candidate will work closely with engineers, project managers, and production teams to ensure accurate designs that comply with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements. Key Responsibilities * Prepare detailed steel fabrication and erection drawings using CAD software. * Develop shop drawings, GA (General Arrangement) drawings, and as-built drawings. * Interpret engineering designs, specifications, and structural calculations. * Coordinate with design engineers, production teams, and site personnel to resolve drawing-related issues. * Revise and update drawings based on project requirements and client comments. * Ensure drawings comply with applicable codes, standards, and company procedures. * Prepare material take-offs and bill of materials (BOM) from drawings. * Maintain drawing records and document control procedures. * Support project execution by providing accurate technical documentation. Qualifications * Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related field. * Proven experience as a Draftsman in the steel fabrication, structural steel, or metal manufacturing industry. * Proficiency in AutoCAD and other drafting software. * Knowledge of steel structures, fabrication processes, and erection methods. * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Preferred Skills * Experience with Tekla Structures, Advance Steel, or similar steel-detailing software. * Knowledge of structural steel standards and fabrication practices. * Familiarity with project documentation and material estimation. * Good communication and teamwork skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Experience * 2–5 years of experience in steel fabrication or structural steel detailing (or as required by the company). Working Conditions * Office-based with occasional visits to fabrication facilities and project sites. * Full-time position. Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
