Draftsman

The MEP Draftsman is responsible for preparing, modifying, and coordinating detailed technical drawings for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in construction projects. The role ensures all drawings are prepared according to project specifications, consultant requirements, and local authority standards while supporting smooth project execution and coordination among disciplines. **Key Responsibilities** * Prepare detailed MEP shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings. * Develop HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, electrical, and ELV drawings based on project requirements. * Review tender drawings, specifications, and design documents before drafting. * Coordinate with engineers and site teams to update drawings according to site conditions and revisions. * Ensure drawings comply with project standards, consultant comments, and local authority regulations. * Prepare sectional details, schematic diagrams, and layout drawings. * Coordinate with civil, architectural, and structural drawings to avoid clashes. * Revise and update drawings as required during project execution. * Maintain proper records and documentation of drawing revisions and submissions. * Assist engineers in quantity take-offs and preparation of technical documentation when required. * Support preparation of authority submission drawings and approvals. **Requirements & Qualifications** * Diploma or certification in Drafting, Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering. * Minimum 3–7 years of experience as an MEP Draftsman in construction or MEP projects. * Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory. * Good knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and electrical systems. * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. * Familiarity with local authority requirements and MEP standards. * Good coordination and communication skills. * Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
