**Job Description – EIT Project Engineer**
**Experience:** 5–8 Years
**Reporting To:** Project Manager
**Job Purpose**
The EIT Project Engineer shall be responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring, and executing all Electrical, Instrumentation, and Telecom (EIT) activities associated with the Dixstone FLNG Project. The role includes engineering coordination, material tracking, construction planning, progress monitoring, quality compliance, and client reporting to ensure timely project delivery.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Project Coordination & Execution**
* Coordinate all EIT fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning preparation activities.
* Liaise with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, QA/QC, Planning, and Client representatives to ensure smooth project execution.
* Monitor project progress against approved schedules and identify potential risks and delays.
* Participate in project review meetings and provide regular status updates.
**Electrical Works Management**
* Monitor installation of cable trays, conduits, supports, junction boxes, lighting systems, grounding systems, and electrical equipment.
* Review electrical drawings, layouts, single-line diagrams, and material take-offs.
* Coordinate electrical material requirements and ensure timely availability at the work front.
* Monitor completion of electrical inspections and testing activities.
**Instrumentation Works Management**
* Coordinate fabrication and installation of instrument supports, impulse tubing, hook-up installations, and instrument mounting activities.
* Monitor installation of field instruments, control panels, marshalling cabinets, and associated systems.
* Review hook-up drawings, instrument index, loop drawings, and cable schedules.
* Ensure completion of calibration and pre-commissioning activities as per project requirements.
**Telecom Works Management**
* Coordinate installation of telecom equipment, cabinets, communication systems, CCTV, PA/GA systems, and associated infrastructure.
* Monitor cable pulling, termination, and testing activities.
* Ensure compliance with project specifications and client requirements.
**Planning & Progress Monitoring**
* Develop and maintain EIT progress tracking systems.
* Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
* Monitor installation quantities, manpower productivity, and material consumption.
* Track cable tray installation, cable pulling, cable termination, instrument installation, and testing progress.
* Support recovery and acceleration plans where required.
**Material Management**
* Track EIT material deliveries and ensure alignment with project schedules.
* Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams for material availability.
* Monitor material issuance and identify shortages or procurement risks.
* Prepare material status reports and consumption reports.
**Quality & Documentation**
* Coordinate inspections with QA/QC and client representatives.
* Ensure compliance with approved procedures, specifications, and project requirements.
* Monitor punch point closure and documentation completion.
* Support preparation of turnover dossiers and handover documentation.
**Client Reporting & Communication**
* Prepare project reports, dashboards, presentations, and management summaries.
* Attend client meetings and provide updates on EIT progress and critical issues.
* Prepare technical correspondence and responses to project-related queries.
**Qualifications**
* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent.
* 5–8 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Offshore, EPC, Modular Fabrication, FLNG, FPSO, or Process Plant projects.
**Technical Skills**
* Strong knowledge of Electrical, Instrumentation, and Telecom systems in Oil & Gas projects.
* Experience in cable tray installation, cable pulling, termination, grounding, lighting, and power distribution systems.
* Familiarity with instrument installation, hook-ups, impulse tubing, calibration, and loop checking activities.
* Ability to review and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings, cable schedules, loop diagrams, and hook-up drawings.
* Knowledge of relevant international standards including IEC, IEEE, NFPA, and project specifications.
**Computer Skills**
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel:
* Pivot Tables
* XLOOKUP / VLOOKUP
* SUMIFS / COUNTIFS
* Progress Dashboards
* Material Tracking
* Data Analysis & Reporting
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Project and Power BI will be an added advantage.
* Familiarity with SmartPlant, AutoCAD, Navisworks, or equivalent engineering software is preferred.
