Electrical AutoCAD Draftsman – UAE **Job Title:** Electrical AutoCAD Draftsman **Location:** UAE **Employment Type:** Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical AutoCAD Draftsman to join our engineering team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, modifying, and coordinating electrical drawings for commercial, industrial, infrastructure, and utility projects. The candidate should possess strong AutoCAD skills and a thorough understanding of electrical systems, standards, and drafting practices. Key Responsibilities * Prepare detailed electrical shop drawings, construction drawings, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD. * Develop electrical layouts including power distribution, lighting, small power, earthing, lightning protection, ELV, fire alarm, and control systems. * Coordinate with electrical engineers, project managers, consultants, and site teams to ensure drawing accuracy. * Revise drawings based on consultant comments, site conditions, and project requirements. * Prepare single-line diagrams (SLDs), cable routing layouts, panel schedules, and load schedules. * Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, local authority requirements, and industry standards. * Maintain drawing registers, revision records, and document control procedures. * Support project execution teams by providing timely drawing submissions and updates. * Conduct site visits when required to verify dimensions and installation details. * Assist in preparing quantity take-offs and material schedules from electrical drawings. Requirements * Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or a related discipline. * Minimum 2 years of UAE experience in electrical drafting. * Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory. * Strong knowledge of electrical systems, drawings, and symbols. * Experience in commercial, industrial, infrastructure, or utility projects. * Ability to read and interpret electrical specifications and technical documents. * Good knowledge of DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, FEWA, Civil Defence, and other UAE authority requirements is an advantage. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
