Electrical Draftsman

**Job Title: Electrical Draftsman (with Quantity Surveying Experience)** **Location:** Dubai, UAE **Company:** Kalandoor Group **Job Summary** We are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Draftsman with Quantity Surveying experience to support our turnkey interior fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical drafting skills, cost estimation capabilities, and a solid understanding of DEWA and IEC standards. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate design documentation, cost control, and compliance across all project phases. **Key Responsibilities** **1. Electrical Drafting & Design** * Prepare detailed electrical drawings, schematics, load schedules, and single line diagrams using AutoCAD * Ensure all drawings comply with DEWA regulations and IEC standards * Coordinate with engineers and project managers to interpret project requirements * Revise and update drawings based on design changes and site feedback * Maintain organized libraries of electrical symbols, templates, and standard details * Ensure proper scaling, layering, and dimensioning of all drawings **2. Quantity Surveying** * Perform quantity take-offs for electrical materials (cables, conduits, switchgear, etc.) * Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates for tenders and projects * Assist in budgeting and cost planning for electrical works * Coordinate with procurement to source materials and obtain competitive pricing * Monitor project costs and track variances against approved budgets **3. Compliance & Documentation** * Ensure all designs and installations adhere to DEWA and relevant authority standards * Review project documents to identify compliance gaps and risks * Support permit applications and approvals with relevant authorities * Prepare as-built drawings and final project documentation * Maintain accurate records of revisions, approvals, and project changes **Qualifications & Requirements** * Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field * Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electrical drafting within UAE (fit-out/construction preferred) * Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (electrical drafting) * Solid knowledge of DEWA regulations and IEC standards * Experience in quantity surveying and cost estimation is required * Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple project requirements **Preferred Skills** * Experience in interior fit-out or turnkey project environments * Familiarity with UAE authority approval processes * Good coordination and communication skills Application Question(s): * Available Immediately?
