Electrical Draftsman

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented **Electrical Draftsman** to join our construction company in UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, revising, and coordinating electrical shop drawings, as-built drawings, and technical documentation in compliance with project specifications and UAE standards. The Electrical Draftsman will work closely with Electrical Engineers, Project Engineers, Design Teams, and Site Teams to support smooth project execution and technical coordination. **Key Responsibilities** **Electrical Drafting & Design Support** * Prepare electrical shop drawings, coordination drawings, schematic diagrams, single-line diagrams (SLD), and as-built drawings for construction projects. * Develop detailed layouts for lighting, power, low current systems, cable routing, panel schedules, and electrical services. * Review design drawings, specifications, and BOQs to ensure drafting accuracy and compliance with project requirements. * Modify and update drawings based on consultant comments, site conditions, and engineering instructions. * Coordinate with Civil, Architectural, Structural, and MEP teams to avoid design conflicts and ensure proper integration. **Technical Coordination** * Work closely with Electrical Engineers and Project Teams to support project execution and technical submissions. * Assist in preparing technical documentation, material submittals, and drawing submissions for consultant/client approvals. * Coordinate with site teams regarding drawing clarifications and construction requirements. * Ensure all drawings comply with UAE authority regulations, DEWA/ADDC requirements, and project standards. **Documentation & Quality Control** * Maintain organized records of approved drawings, revisions, and technical documents. * Ensure all drawings are prepared according to company CAD standards and project procedures. * Support preparation of as-built documentation and project close-out requirements. * Assist in maintaining drawing registers and document control systems. **Software & Technical Tools** * Utilize AutoCAD and other drafting software to prepare accurate and high-quality drawings. * Coordinate with BIM/Revit teams when required for multidisciplinary project coordination. **Requirements** * Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field. * Minimum 3–7 years of experience as an Electrical Draftsman in the UAE/GCC construction industry. * Strong experience in MEP drafting for building, commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects. * Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory; Revit/BIM experience is an advantage. * Good understanding of electrical systems, construction drawings, and UAE authority requirements. * Familiarity with DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, or other local authority standards is preferred. * Strong attention to detail and coordination skills. * Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple project deadlines.
