Electrical Engineer

An Electrical Engineer in building construction designs, installs, and maintains electrical systems—power, lighting, fire alarms, and, security. They prepare technical drawings (CAD/BIM), ensure compliance with safety codes (e.g., NEC, IEC), manage budgets/materials, and supervise on-site contractors to ensure system functionality, efficiency, and safety. * **Design and Planning:** Create electrical schematics, power distribution plans, and load calculations using CAD or BIM software. * **Site Supervision:** Oversee contractors installing electrical systems (wiring, transformers, switchboards) to ensure compliance with drawings and safety standards. * **Testing and Commissioning:** Conduct insulation resistance, grounding, and operational testing on systems before building handover. * **Technical Compliance & Documentation:** Ensure all work adheres to local and international electrical codes.
