**Electrical Engineer – Job Description** **Job Title:** Electrical Engineer **Department:** Engineering / Projects / Maintenance **Job Type:** Full-time **Location:** —Dubai **Job Summary** We are looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and supervise electrical systems, equipment, and installations. The role involves project planning, electrical design, site supervision, testing, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. **Key Responsibilities1. Electrical Design & Planning** * Design and review electrical systems, including **power distribution, lighting, earthing, ELV systems**, and load calculations. * Prepare **single-line diagrams (SLD)**, layouts, schematics, cable sizing, and equipment specifications. * Develop BOQs, technical datasheets, and material specifications. **2. Project Execution & Supervision** * Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems. * Ensure work is completed according to **approved drawings, standards, and project requirements**. * Conduct daily site inspections and verify progress. **3. Testing, Commissioning & Troubleshooting** * Perform testing and commissioning of electrical panels, transformer systems, lighting controls, and protection devices. * Identify faults, analyze issues, and recommend corrective actions. * Ensure proper documentation of test results and final handover reports. **4. Safety & Compliance** * Ensure compliance with electrical codes and standards (IEC, NEC, local regulations). * Implement safety procedures, risk assessments, and preventive maintenance measures. * Monitor adherence to company and project safety policies. **5. Documentation & Coordination** * Prepare technical reports, drawings, daily logs, and progress updates. * Coordinate with mechanical teams, civil teams, contractors, consultants, and suppliers. * Attend meetings and support resolution of site and design issues. **Required Skills & Qualifications** * Bachelor’s Degree in **Electrical Engineering** or related field. * Knowledge of electrical design software (AutoCAD, ETAP, Dialux, Revit MEP is a plus). * Strong understanding of electrical codes, power systems, and safety practices. * Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. * Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings. **Preferred Qualifications** (optional) * Experience in construction, industrial plants, power systems, or facility management. * Knowledge of project management tools (MS Project, Primavera) is beneficial. * Certifications in electrical safety, LV/HV systems, or related fields. **Work Environment** * May involve both office and site-based responsibilities. * Requires coordination with multiple departments and occasional travel to project sites.
