Electrical Engineer Level II - Offshore

Leveraging extensive experience and AI-enabled delivery, we support customers in navigating complexity as they meet today's needs and transition to more sustainable solutions. **Major Accountabilities of Position** -------------------------------------- * Development of Electrical specifications, data sheets, Load lists, equipment List, Single Line Diagrams (MV and LV), Cable Schedules, Drum Schedule, Electrical MTO. * Preparation of all Engineering deliverables such as specifications, datasheets, Load Lists, Sizing calculations, Single Line Diagrams, Adequacy check reports, Schedules & MTO. * Perform engineering design for Oil and Gas Project (Offshore experience is preferred). * Perform all associated Electrical calculations covering equipment sizing, cable sizing, Sub sea Cable Sizing, UPS sizing, Earthing Calculation, Lighting Calculations using Dialux Software etc. * Has experience in developing Electrical Substation Layouts, Cable Routing Layout, Earthing Layout, Lighting Layout. Providing input for 3D modelling activity. Preparation of markups for providing inputs to the designers for development of SLDs and all Electrical Layouts. * Perform various power system analysis study – load flow, short circuit, motor starting, transient stability, harmonic analysis, arc flash, protection coordination, etc. * Experience in preparation of Material Requisition, Scope of Works. Preparing Technical Bid Evaluation for MV & LV Switchgears, Transformers, Cables, UPS, DBs, Bulk Materials etc. Experience of Vendor drawing reviews. * Carry out site survey and data collection for Electrical design. * Experience of working with remote office for design Engineering activities. * Good understanding of HSE requirements of both self and within the discipline team. * Ensuring technical integrity of the Electrical deliverables for the project. In particular ensure compliance with the work scope and with applicable international standards. **Knowledge / Experience / Competencies Required** ### **Job Specific Knowledge** * Experience (minimum 8 years) in execution of FEED and Detail Engineering for offshore, onshore & downstream Oil and Gas projects. * Experience in Electrical Control & Monitoring System for developing ECMS Architectural Diagram, I/O List and datasheet etc. * Has experience of Detail engineering (EPC) in Oil and Gas projects. * Substation layouts & Field layouts for offshore & onshore projects. * Should have very good experience of Lighting design and Earthing system design. * Guiding 3D modeler for 3D modelling activity. * Should have very good understanding of Electrical equipment such as Transformers, MV and LV Switchgears, Motors, VSDs, Cables. * Technical Bid Evaluation for MV & LV Switchgears, Transformers, UPS, Cables, Bulk Material etc. * Vendor drawing review of Electrical Equipment/Items. ### **Industry Specific Experience** Good knowledge of ADNOC standards, SHELL DEPs, International standards such as IEEE, ANSI, IESNA, NFPA, IEC Standards ### **Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training** Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering. ### **HSE Capability** Good knowledge of Hazardous Area classification, Electrical Safety in design, Sustainable design engineering, E-HAZOP. ### **IT Skills** Computer skills with MS Office and Electrical engineering / sizing software such as SPEL, ETAP, EDSA, SKM, CYME, EMTP, Battery sizing, Lighting calculation software, etc. ### **People Skills** Good communication skill, able to guide team working locally as well as for workshare with centre of excellence and integrated delivery, mentoring junior Engineers/Graduates. ### **Other** Good command on English language – verbal as well as writing skills, report writing, presentation to client. **Authority / Freedom to Act / Decision Making (Including Budgetary Responsibility)** ===================================================================================== * **Extent of Guidance or Control:** Should be able to guide team of Engineers and Designers, Workshare. * **Impact of Decisions on Results:** Should be able to control budget, plan and deliver as per schedule. **Moving Forward Together** =========================== We want our people to be energized and empowered to drive sustainable impact.
