The Electrical Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating electrical installation activities at construction sites for MEP projects. The role ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications, drawings, and local authority regulations. The Electrical Foreman manages electricians and technicians, monitors productivity, and maintains quality standards throughout project execution.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Supervise and coordinate daily electrical works at project sites.
* Read and interpret electrical drawings, layouts, and technical specifications.
* Allocate manpower, tools, and materials effectively to meet project schedules.
* Ensure installation of electrical systems complies with approved drawings, safety standards, and local regulations.
* Monitor progress and report daily activities to the Site Engineer or Project Manager.
* Conduct site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with project requirements.
* Coordinate with other MEP trades to avoid clashes and delays.
* Ensure proper use of PPE and enforce site safety procedures.
* Assist in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
* Maintain records of manpower, materials, and site activities.
* Identify and resolve on-site technical issues promptly.
* Train and guide electricians, helpers, and junior staff.
**Requirements & Qualifications**
* Diploma or ITI certification in Electrical Engineering or related field.
* Minimum 5–8 years of experience in MEP/construction projects.
* Proven experience as an Electrical Foreman in commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installation methods, and safety practices.
* Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and single-line diagrams.
* Familiarity with local electrical codes and authority regulations.
* Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage teams and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
