Elevator testing and commissioning engineer

Job Title: Elevator Testing & Commissioning Engineer Location:United Arab Emirates (UAE) Job Type:Full-time, Permanent Experience Level:Mid-to-Senior Level \*\*Job Summary\*\* We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented "Testing & Commissioning (T&C) Engineer" to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the final technical phase of elevator and escalator installations, ensuring all systems meet stringent safety standards, local regulations, and performance benchmarks. Beyond commissioning, the candidate must possess a robust background in troubleshooting and maintenance across a wide variety of elevator control systems. Key Responsibilities: -System Commissioning: Perform comprehensive testing, adjusting, and commissioning of all vertical transportation units (Passenger, Cargo, and Dumbwaiters) to ensure smooth operation. -Controller Programming: Configure and fine-tune various elevator controllers; diagnose and resolve complex electrical and mechanical faults during the startup phase. -Maintenance & Troubleshooting:Execute preventive and corrective maintenance. You must be comfortable working with diverse control systems and brands. -Safety Compliance:Ensure all installations comply with UAE safety codes, international standards (EN81), and Civil Defense requirements. -Reporting: Prepare detailed T&C reports, handover documentation, and maintenance logs for clients and project managers. -Site Coordination: Collaborate with site supervisors and installation teams to ensure project timelines are met. Required Qualifications & Skills: -Education:Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering. -Industry Experience:Proven experience as a T&C Engineer specifically within the elevator and escalator industry. -Controller Expertise: Hands-on experience with a broad range of controllers (e.g., Monarch, STEP, Inovance, or major OEM proprietary systems). -Regional Expertise:Must have previous Gulf (GCC) experience. Deep understanding of local site conditions and regulatory standards is mandatory. -Technical Proficiency: Ability to read electrical schematics, use diagnostic tools, and program inverter parameters. Communication:Strong professional communication skills in English.
