**Job Description**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Civil Engineer specializing in freight infrastructure to join our team in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates. You will work collaboratively with project teams to ensure all projects meet regulatory standards, safety requirements, and operational efficiency goals while maintaining organized project documentation and timely delivery.
* Supervise and monitor construction in line with approved IFC drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
* Review and verify shop drawings, method statements, ITPs, and material submittals for track works and related systems.
* Monitor earthworks, formation preparation, drainage, and subgrade condition ahead of track installation.
* Coordinate with survey teams on alignment, levels, control points, and setting‑out verification.
* Coordinate interfaces with civil structures, stations, utilities, signaling, and MEP to protect program and quality.
* Enforce QA/QC procedures; review WIRs, manage inspections, and ensure timely close‑out and records.
* Raise and manage NCRs and site observations; track corrective and preventive actions to closure.
* Monitor contractor progress versus the approved baseline schedule; highlight risks, slippage, and recovery plans.
* Prepare accurate daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports with metrics, photos, and look‑ahead.
* Coordinate with the client, consultant, contractor, and railway authorities during execution and inspections.
* Ensure implementation of approved HSE procedures and railway operational safety requirements.
* Support testing and commissioning for track systems; participate in inspections, snagging, and handover.
* Assist the Resident Engineer and Project Manager in resolving technical and construction issues.
**Qualifications**
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline; postgraduate or rail-specific qualifications are an advantage.
* 10+ years of construction and supervision experience on major rail or freight projects
* Proficient in coordinating multidisciplinary interfaces (civil, stations, utilities, signaling, MEP) and dealing with rail authorities.
* Skilled in progress tracking, risk identification, and recovery planning against an approved baseline schedule.
* GCC/UAE experience is a must.
