Estimation Engineer

We are seeking a highly meticulous and commercially astute Estimation Engineer to join our interior fit-out team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the complete tendering process—from initial drawing analysis and precise quantity take-offs to vendor negotiations and final bid submission. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of luxury/commercial interior fit-out details, custom joinery production, MEP coordination, and local UAE authority regulations. **Responsibilities** * Conduct detailed, accurate quantity take-offs from architectural, interior design (ID), joinery detail, and MEP drawings using software (e.g., AutoCAD). * Prepare comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and cost breakdowns structured by trade, material, and area. * Floating inquiries/RFQs to a trusted network of subcontractors and suppliers for specialized trades (Joinery, MEP, Glass, Marble, Civil works, Fit-Out accessories). * Perform strict techno-commercial evaluations of supplier quotes to ensure full compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and timelines. * Maintain and continuously update a robust internal database of local material prices, labor rates, and subcontractor capabilities. * Develop accurate, competitive direct cost estimations factoring in material costs, labor productivity, equipment, and project durations. * Collaborate with executive management to incorporate appropriate overheads, contingencies, and profit margins. * Compile and finalize complete tender packages, including priced BOQs, technical qualifications, and commercial exclusions. * Identify potential design gaps, missing scopes, or financial risks in tender documents, formulating clear commercial clarifications. * Propose creative Value Engineering (VE) alternatives to optimize project costs without compromising design intent or quality. * Attend mandatory site inspections during the bidding phase to assess site logistics, existing conditions, demolition requirements, and access constraints. * Attend post-tender clarification meetings with clients, consultants, and project managers to defend and justify commercial bids. **Preferred Qualifications** * Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering * Minimum of 3–5 years of proven experience strictly within the UAE Interior Fit-Out industry (Commercial, Retail, Residential, or Hospitality sectors). * Expert knowledge of fit-out materials, construction methodology, and bespoke joinery/woodworks manufacturing processes. * Strong understanding of interior MEP requirements and modifications. * Proficiency in AutoCAD, Zoho Projects and advanced MS Excel * Exceptional negotiation skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight tender deadlines * DM Approved Engineer with UAE driving licenses preferred Application Question(s): * Are you DM approved engineer? * Previous drawn salary * Do you have experience working with interior fit out company?
