We are seeking an experienced Estimation Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of UAE experience in infrastructure and roadworks projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, tender submissions, quantity take-offs, and technical proposals related to road marking, traffic signage, guard rail installation, and geotechnical/soil testing works.
Key Responsibilities
* Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
* Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and project budgets for road marking, traffic signage, guard rail, and soil testing projects.
* Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings and project documents.
* Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors and evaluate commercial offers.
* Prepare technical and commercial tender submissions in compliance with client requirements.
* Analyze project risks, costs, and resource requirements.
* Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and operations teams during bid preparation.
* Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client clarification meetings when required.
* Maintain a database of project costs, supplier rates, and historical pricing information.
* Assist in contract review, variation pricing, and project cost control.
* Ensure compliance with UAE standards, authority requirements, and project specifications.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
* Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in estimation and tendering for road infrastructure projects.
* Proven experience in road marking, traffic signage, guard rail installation, and soil testing works.
* Strong knowledge of UAE authority requirements, including road and infrastructure standards.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software.
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
* Strong analytical, numerical, and commercial skills.
* Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
* UAE driving license preferred.
Preferred Skills
* Experience with projects involving municipalities, road authorities, developers, and government entities.
* Familiarity with geotechnical investigation and laboratory soil testing scopes.
* Knowledge of FIDIC contracts and tendering procedures.
* Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet strict submission deadlines.
