Estimation Engineer

**Job Summary** We are looking for an experienced **Estimation Engineer – Civil** specializing in **general civil and infrastructure projects (non high-rise)**. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for works including **earthworks, roads, drainage, utilities, piling & shoring, and industrial civil projects**, ensuring competitive and profitable tender submissions. **Key Responsibilities** * Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications for **civil and infrastructure works**. * Prepare detailed **quantity take-offs (BOQ)** for: * Earthworks & excavation * Road works & pavement layers * Stormwater & drainage * Water supply & utilities * Piling & shoring works * Concrete and foundation works (non high-rise) * Analyze costs for **materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors**. * Prepare comprehensive **cost estimates, rate analysis, and tender pricing**. * Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. * Perform site visits to understand ground conditions, access, and constraints. * Identify risks, cost-saving opportunities, and value engineering options. * Prepare and submit **tender documents and commercial proposals** on time. * Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and planning teams. * Maintain cost databases and historical records for future estimation. * Ensure compliance with project specifications, local authority standards, and contractual requirements. **Required Qualifications** * Bachelor’s Degree in **Civil Engineering**. * 4–10 years of experience in **civil/infrastructure estimation (non high-rise projects)**. * Strong experience in: * Infrastructure works * Roads & utilities * Earthworks / site development * Piling & shoring (preferred) * UAE/GCC project experience is an advantage. **Technical Skills** * Proficiency in: * **AutoCAD** * **MS Excel (Advanced)** for BOQ & cost analysis * Estimation software (Candy, CostX, PlanSwift, or similar) * Good understanding of: * **BOQ preparation & measurement standards** * Construction methods for infrastructure works * Equipment productivity and costing * FIDIC contracts (preferred) **Key Competencies** * Strong analytical and numerical skills * High attention to detail * Ability to work under tight tender deadlines * Good negotiation and communication skills * Problem-solving and commercial awareness **Project Types Covered** * Infrastructure & subdivision works * Roads & highways * Drainage & sewer networks * Utilities (water, electrical ducts, telecom) * Earthworks & grading * Piling & shoring * Industrial and low-rise civil works **Reporting To** * Estimation Manager / Commercial Manager Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per hour Work Location: In person
