We are currently seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor / Cost Engineer to join our growing team. **Role Summary:** We are looking for a dedicated Quantity Surveyor / Cost Engineer with a background in civil engineering to manage all costs and financial aspects of our construction projects, from initial tendering to final account settlement. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of the financial and contractual side of the construction industry. **Key Responsibilities:** * Prepare and manage all aspects of the tendering process, including sourcing and vetting subcontractors and suppliers. * Conduct comprehensive analysis of tender documents and prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs). * Perform accurate cost estimations and prepare budgets for new projects. * Monitor and control project costs, ensuring they remain within budget. * Prepare and submit progress claims and variations. * Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best rates and terms. * Maintain accurate records of project costs and prepare regular financial reports. * Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure financial objectives are met. **Qualifications:** * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. * Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry. * Strong knowledge of tendering processes, BOQs, and cost control. * Excellent negotiation and communication skills. * Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Office, cost estimation software). * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
