Finance & Cost Accountant

**Job Title:** Finance & Cost Accountant **Location:** Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Job Type: Full-time, On-site **Role Summary:** We are hiring a Finance & Cost Accountant to own the day-to-day books and the production accounting. This is a hands-on role, not a management position. You will personally execute the accounting work in QuickBooks Online and personally track inventory, work-in-progress and finished goods on the production side. You will work closely with the CEO and the atelier team. **Key Responsibilities:** **Finance and accounting** * Daily bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online entities accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, expense categorization. * Bank, credit card and petty cash reconciliations. * Monthly close: accruals, prepayments and preparation of month-end financial statements. * VAT filings and supporting schedules in line with UAE FTA requirements. * Payroll entries and related reconciliations. * Maintaining a clean audit trail and supporting documentation for all transactions. **Cost and production accounting** * Tracking raw material inventory, including purchase recording, valuation and reconciliation against physical counts. * Maintaining work-in-progress records: which pieces are in production, materials consumed, labour applied, stage of completion. * Monthly production close reconciling production output to inventory movements and ensuring COGS is recorded correctly. **Qualifications:** * Five to six years of accounting experience. * Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online (essential). * Demonstrated experience with inventory accounting and cost accounting not just general ledger work. * Solid grasp of UAE VAT and FTA filing requirements. * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce. Professional qualification (CA, CMA, ACCA part-qualified or qualified) is an advantage. * Highly organized, detail-driven, and comfortable owning month-end close independently. * Discreet you will handle confidential financial and client information. * Written and spoken English required.
