Finance Manager-Contracting

**Job Title:** Finance Manager **Location:** Al Quoz **Job Type:** Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking a highly experienced Finance Manager with a strong background in contracting and construction companies to lead the financial operations of the organization. The role requires expertise in project-based accounting, cost control, financial planning, and cash flow management across multiple ongoing projects in a fast-paced construction environment. The ideal candidate will act as a strategic finance leader, providing insights that support business decisions, ensure regulatory compliance, and improve overall financial performance and operational efficiency. Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management & Reporting * Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements * Ensure compliance with IFRS standards and UAE financial regulations * Manage general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll functions * Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets Project Accounting & Cost Control * Manage project accounting including budgeting, cost allocation, and revenue recognition * Monitor job costing, project profitability, and margin analysis across multiple projects * Oversee Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting and financial accuracy * Handle progress billing, variations, and retention accounting * Work closely with project and operations teams to control costs and improve margins Budgeting & Financial Planning * Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes * Develop financial models for strategic planning and project feasibility * Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management Cash Flow & Working Capital Management * Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure operational liquidity * Optimize working capital including receivables, payables, and inventory * Ensure timely collections in coordination with project and commercial teams Compliance & Audit * Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities * Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and statutory requirements * Prepare audit schedules and support internal/external audits Leadership & Team Management * Lead and develop the finance team to ensure high performance * Set KPIs and drive accountability within the finance function * Promote continuous improvement and process efficiency Requirements * Chartered Accountant (CA) or Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance * 15–18 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting * Minimum 5 years in Finance Manager or Finance Controller role * Mandatory experience in contracting, construction, façade, aluminum, or related industries * Strong expertise in project accounting, job costing, WIP, revenue recognition * Experience in progress billing, variations, retention, and project cash flow management * Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar) * Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT regulations * Excellent analytical, leadership, and decision-making skills * Ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment * Fluency in English required Job Type: Full-time Pay: AED14,000.00 - AED18,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
