Formwork Design Engineer

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented **Formwork Design Engineer** to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing safe, efficient, and cost-effective formwork systems for various construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, site engineers, and other stakeholders to develop formwork solutions that meet structural and construction requirements. **Key Responsibilities:** * Design and develop formwork and falsework systems using AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant software. * Produce detailed formwork drawings, layout plans, sections, and assembly drawings. * Ensure designs comply with safety standards, engineering codes, and project specifications. * Collaborate with site teams to optimize designs based on construction methods and site conditions. * Perform structural calculations and stress analysis of formwork components. * Evaluate and select materials and systems suitable for project needs and site logistics. * Support project teams during the planning and construction phases, including resolving on-site design issues. * Prepare material lists and assist with procurement planning. * Maintain documentation for design changes and approvals. * Coordinate with clients, consultants, and suppliers as needed. **Requirements:** **Education & Experience:** * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field. * Minimum 2–5 years of experience in formwork design or related construction engineering roles. **Skills:** * Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and formwork-specific design software (e.g., PERI CAD, Doka CAD, Tekla). * Strong understanding of formwork systems (PERI, Doka, RMD, etc.). * Knowledge of relevant standards and codes (e.g., ACI, BS, Eurocode). * Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience with 3D modeling and BIM integration. * Familiarity with construction site practices and sequencing. * Certification in structural or formwork design is a plus. **Working Conditions:** * Office-based with occasional visits to construction sites. * May involve working under tight deadlines or extended hours during project peaks.
