Neural Ledger LLC-FZ is a UAE-based AI finance technology company building Kaizen by Neural Ledger, an AI-assisted accounting operations and finance automation platform for accounting firms and enterprise finance teams.
Kaizen is offered in three formats:
· Kaizen SaaS for Accounting Firms: a multi-tenant, subscription-based platform for accounting firms to manage client bookkeeping, document ingestion, review, reconciliation, reporting, and audit trails.
· Custom Kaizen for Accounting Firms: a tailored implementation for accounting firms with specific workflows, document types, reporting formats, integrations, controls, or deployment requirements.
· Enterprise Kaizen: a custom solution for larger enterprise customers requiring bespoke workflows, ERP integrations, analytics, automations, security controls, and cloud or on-premise deployment support.
We are expanding across the UAE and MENA region and need a Forward Deployed Engineer who can work directly with customers, domain experts, the CTO, and the core engineering team to convert client requirements into deployed, working solutions.
Role Summary
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will be the technical bridge between Kaizen, our customers, and our internal product and engineering teams. You will support Kaizen SaaS deployments for accounting firms, develop Custom Kaizen solutions for accounting firms, and help deliver Enterprise Kaizen implementations for larger customers.
You will be paired with a domain expert who will help translate accounting, tax, finance, and client workflow requirements into clear functional expectations. Your role will be to convert those requirements into configured, integrated, tested, and deployable solutions.
You will work closely with the CTO on cloud, client-cloud, or on-premise deployments, including environment setup, integration design, security considerations, troubleshooting, and release coordination. Full-stack ability is preferred, because the role may require backend debugging, frontend adjustments, database queries, deployment fixes, and client-facing training in the same implementation cycle.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Deployment & Implementation
· Lead or support end-to-end technical onboarding for accounting firms and enterprise customers, including environment provisioning, initial user setup, configuration, and deployment validation.
· Deploy Kaizen SaaS for accounting firms, including tenant setup, user roles, document ingestion workflows, reconciliation flows, reporting workflows, audit trail settings, and customer-specific configuration.
· Develop and implement Custom Kaizen solutions for accounting firms based on specific requirements, including custom reports, document workflows, review logic, client onboarding flows, and export requirements.
· Support Enterprise Kaizen implementations for larger customers, including bespoke workflow development, ERP integration support, management reporting, approval flows, process automation, and deployment readiness.
· Create and maintain customer-specific runbooks, configuration notes, deployment documentation, and handover packs.
Requirements Translation with Domain Expert
· Work closely with the domain expert to understand accounting, tax, compliance, reporting, and operational requirements from customer discussions.
· Translate domain requirements into technical solution requirements, user stories, configuration tasks, integration needs, and implementation plans.
· Identify gaps between standard Kaizen capabilities and customer-specific needs, then propose practical solution options with the domain expert and CTO.
· Document assumptions, dependencies, exclusions, and client responsibilities clearly during implementations.
Full-Stack Development & Customization
· Read, debug, and extend backend services where required, especially APIs, document workflows, transaction processing, report generation, and integration logic.
· Troubleshoot and adjust frontend workflows, forms, dashboards, authentication flows, API wiring, and client-facing screens where required.
· Write SQL queries, custom export scripts, validation checks, and implementation utilities for customer-specific reporting, audit, migration, or troubleshooting needs.
· Support integration with accounting systems, ERPs, document storage, email services, AI extraction tools, and reporting layers.
· Reproduce implementation issues locally or in staging, document them clearly, and coordinate fixes with the CTO and engineering team.
Deployment, Cloud & On-Premise Support
· Work with the CTO to deploy Kaizen on cloud, customer cloud, or on-premise environments depending on the customer requirement.
· Support Docker-based deployments, database setup, object storage configuration, email delivery configuration, background workers, migrations, environment variables, and deployment monitoring.
· Assist with AWS or equivalent cloud deployment tasks, including compute, database, storage
