**Freelance Rebar Detailer / Rebar Engineer / Rebar Estimator / Utilizer** **Job Post Summary** **Pay:** Paid per task based on project size (submit your rates) **Job Description:** **Core-Steel** is a steel reinforcement bars (rebar) fabrication factory in Sharjah, UAE. We are looking for an experienced freelance Rebar Detailer / Rebar Engineer / Rebar Estimator / Rebar Shop Draftsman to work with us on an on-demand, task-by-task basis. You will be responsible for preparing accurate bar bending schedules (BBS), quantity take-offs, and shop drawings for rebar cutting and bending projects. **Location:** Remote / Freelance (can be inside or outside UAE) **Job Type:** Freelance / Contract (paid per project) **Key Requirements:** · Proven experience in **rebar detailing, estimation, or shop drafting** for construction or fabrication. · Strong knowledge of **Bar Bending Schedules (BBS)** and rebar quantity calculations. · Experience in **utilization** (optimizing rebar lengths to minimize waste) is highly preferred. · Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings. · Familiarity with rebar fabrication processes (cutting, bending, tying). · Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, RebarCAD, CADS RC, or similar). · Must provide: o **CV** (highlighting relevant experience) o **Examples of previous work** (BBS, shop drawings, or estimation sheets) o **Your rates** (e.g., price per ton, per drawing, or per project) **Responsibilities (will vary per task):** · Prepare detailed **Bar Bending Schedules (BBS)** from structural drawings. · Perform **quantity take-offs** for rebar (weight, length, number of pieces). · Create **shop drawings / cutting and bending lists** for the factory floor. · Optimize rebar utilization (length combination / nesting) to reduce scrap. · Coordinate with the production team as needed. **What We Offer:** · **Payment per task** – based on project size (e.g., per ton of rebar, per drawing, or fixed fee per job – you propose your rates) · Flexible, remote freelance arrangement · Long-term collaboration potential for reliable candidates Work Location: Remote
