General Accountant

**Accountant** **Job Summary** We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of **2 years of accounting experience**, strong knowledge of accounting principles, and the ability to manage financial records accurately while meeting deadlines. The candidate must also possess **strong hands-on experience with Zoho Books** and be capable of managing day-to-day accounting operations using the platform. **Key Responsibilities** * Maintain accurate financial records and accounting transactions. * Prepare and record journal entries, invoices, receipts, and payments. * Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR). * Perform monthly bank reconciliations and account reconciliations. * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. * Manage daily accounting activities using **Zoho Books**, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions. * Maintain the chart of accounts and generate financial reports through Zoho Books. * Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. * Process payroll and ensure timely salary payments (if applicable). * Prepare and file VAT/tax-related documents in compliance with local regulations. * Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities. * Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation. * Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. * Maintain confidentiality of financial information. * Coordinate with management and other departments on financial matters. **Requirements** * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. * Minimum **2 years of proven experience** as an Accountant. * Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting. * **Strong hands-on experience with Zoho Books is mandatory.** * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. * Good understanding of VAT and taxation regulations. * Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. * Good communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. **Preferred Qualifications** * Professional accounting certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent) is an advantage. * Experience working in a fast-paced business environment. * Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools is an added advantage. **Salary:** Competitive and based on experience.
