General Accountant

Key Responsibilities: * Maintain accurate books of accounts in accordance with UAE regulations * Prepare and record journal entries, general ledger, and trial balances * Handle accounts payable and receivable, including supplier invoices and customer payments * Manage project-based accounting, cost control, and job costing for construction projects * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports * Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and customer accounts * Monitor cash flow and assist in budgeting and forecasting * Process payroll and staff expense claims (if required) * Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, including VAT filing and documentation * Coordinate with auditors, banks, and government authorities when required * Maintain proper documentation for contracts, invoices, and financial records * Support management with financial analysis and reporting Requirements & Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field * Minimum **5–7 years** of accounting experience, preferably in a **construction company** * Good knowledge of **UAE VAT**, construction accounting, and cost control * Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) * Strong knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting * Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines * Good communication and coordination skills - Job Type: Full-time Pay: From AED7,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
