General Accountant

**Job Title: General Accountant** **Industry:** Electronics Trading & Distribution (Dubai) **Position Summary** We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant to manage the day-to-day financial operations of our electronics retail and distribution business. The role ensures accurate accounting, effective financial control, and compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations. **Key Responsibilities** * Record and maintain daily financial transactions including sales, purchases, payments, and journal entries. * Manage general ledger, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. * Initiate and process payments through online banking platforms after proper verification and authorized approvals. * Reconcile retail sales, inter-branch transactions, and distribution accounts. * Monitor inventory, warehouse stock, and fixed assets, including periodic stock audits. * Prepare monthly financial reports and support annual financial statements. **Qualifications & Skills** * Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations, including accurate calculation and timely filing. * Coordinate with sales and logistics teams for billing accuracy, credit control, and stock movement reconciliation. * Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Commerce. * 2–5 years of UAE experience in trading, retail, or distribution (electronics preferred). * Working knowledge of Zoho Books, Odoo, or similar ERP systems. * Strong understanding of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax laws. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. * Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
