General Accountant

Job Title: General Accountant Company: Effective Solutions Tax Consultants Location: United Arab Emirates Job Type: Full-time Salary: AED 4,000 – 5,000 per month About the Role Effective Solution is hiring a General Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting and support our tax compliance work for clients across the UAE. The role suits a detail-oriented professional with solid hands-on experience in both accounting and UAE tax (VAT and Corporate Tax). Key Responsibilities * Maintain books of accounts in line with IFRS and UAE regulatory requirements * Prepare and post journal entries, manage AP/AR, and perform bank and account reconciliations * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements * Handle UAE VAT compliance: input/output VAT review, return preparation, and FTA filings * Support UAE Corporate Tax compliance, including registration, computations, and return filing * Maintain organized records of invoices, contracts, and supporting documentation in line with FTA record-keeping rules Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field * 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE * Working knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax legislation * Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel * Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines * Good written and spoken English (Arabic is a plus) What We Offer * Salary: AED 4,000 – 5,000 per month * Exposure to a varied client portfolio across multiple industries * Professional growth in UAE tax and accounting advisory Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
