General Accountant

**Job Title:** Accountant **Location:** UAE **Industry:** Contracting / Construction **Employment Type:** Full-Time Job Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience in a contracting or construction company and possess strong knowledge of accounting procedures, financial reporting, and ERP systems. Experience with SAP is preferred. Key Responsibilities * Handle day-to-day accounting operations and financial transactions. * Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, journal entries, and reconciliations. * Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records. * Monitor project-related costs and expenses. * Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing. * Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow. * Coordinate with procurement, project, and HR departments for financial documentation. * Ensure compliance with company policies and UAE financial regulations. * Maintain accurate accounting records and filing systems. * Generate financial reports and support management with financial analysis. * Work on ERP/accounting software, preferably SAP. Requirements * Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. * Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a contracting/construction company. * Knowledge of VAT and UAE accounting practices. * Experience with SAP is preferred. * Strong knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software. * Good analytical and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Preferred Skills * Experience in project accounting and cost control. * Strong communication and coordination skills. * Immediate joiners will be preferred.
