General Accountant

Key Responsibilities Manage daily accounting activities, including journal entries, payables, receivables, and general ledger maintenance. Prepare and file VAT returns in accordance with UAE Federal Tax Authority requirements. Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly. Record, monitor, and reconcile inter‑group and intercompany transactions. Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Prepare financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules. Maintain proper documentation and assist with internal and external audits. Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience in accounting within the building‑materials or trading sector is preferred. Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and accounting practices. Proficiency in accounting software(preferred knowledge in FACTS software) and MS Excel. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
