General Accountant- Excise Tax

**Industry:** Tobacco Manufacturing / Trading **Job Summary** We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced **General Accountant - Excise Tax** to manage accounting operations, excise tax compliance, VAT processes, and financial reporting for our tobacco manufacturing/trading operations in the UAE. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of UAE excise tax regulations, inventory reconciliation, and manufacturing accounting procedures. **Key Responsibilities** · Handle day-to-day accounting operations and financial transactions. · Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and reconciliations. · Manage UAE Excise Tax compliance and filing requirements. · Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with UAE FTA regulations. · Monitor excise goods movement, inventory records, and warehouse reconciliation. · Coordinate with customs, logistics, and warehouse teams regarding excise-related documentation. · Ensure compliance with UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations and requirements. · Assist during FTA audits, internal audits, and external audits. · Perform monthly closing activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations. · Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. · Maintain proper documentation for accounting and tax purposes. · Support management with financial analysis and reporting. · Coordinate with ERP/accounting systems for accurate reporting and inventory tracking. **Requirements** · Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. · Minimum 3- 5 years of UAE accounting experience. · Mandatory experience in UAE Excise Tax handling. · Mandatory experience in tobacco manufacturing/trading industry · Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and FTA regulations. · Experience in inventory reconciliation and manufacturing accounting.
