We specialize in developing state-of-the-art Vertical Indoor Farming facilities, high-efficiency Food Processing operations, and cutting-edge modular AI Datacenters. As we scale our physical footprint, we are looking for a highly skilled, hands-on Head of Architecture to lead our spatial design, structural planning, and technical modeling across all physical assets. **Role Overview** Reporting to the executive team, the Head of Architecture will be the primary driver of Xantory’s physical design strategy. This is a highly hands-on leadership role where you will be personally responsible for executing all architectural design, drafting, and 3D modeling. You will own the entire BIM lifecycle—from conceptual sketches through to fully coordinated, clash-free construction documentation. In this role, you will be heavily supported by our Lead MEP Engineer and their dedicated team, ensuring our complex, technology-heavy facilities are seamlessly integrated and optimized for rapid deployment. **Key Responsibilities** **1. Architectural Design & BIM Execution** * Serve as the lead Architect and primary BIM Modeler, personally executing all 2D drafting and 3D modeling for Xantory’s Vertical Indoor Farms, Food Processing facilities, and AI Datacenters. * Produce comprehensive, highly detailed architectural drawings, floor plans, elevations, and section details using AutoCAD. * Build, manage, and maintain complex, data-rich 3D models using advanced BIM software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks) to simulate real-world performance and constructability. **2. MEP Integration & Clash Detection** * Partner directly with the Lead MEP Engineer and their team to seamlessly integrate complex utility requirements into the master architectural model. * Incorporate exact specifications and inputs for Electrical, Cooling, Plumbing, and Fire Safety systems into the spatial design, ensuring the heavy infrastructure demands of AI data centers and indoor farming facilities are accommodated. * Perform rigorous clash detection and resolution within the BIM environment across all architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines prior to the fabrication and construction phases. **3. Project Delivery & Site Integration** * Translate high-level business requirements and modular design concepts into precise, actionable construction documentation. * Collaborate closely with project managers, the MEP team, structural engineers, and site contractors to resolve design queries, issue site instructions, and ensure the physical build strictly matches the BIM model. * Continuously optimize designs for cost-efficiency, material reduction, and speed of assembly, particularly for modular infrastructure rollouts. **4. Compliance & Approvals** * Ensure all architectural designs and master BIM models strictly comply with UAE building codes, Dubai Municipality regulations, and Civil Defense safety standards. * Prepare all necessary architectural documentation required for regulatory submissions and local authority approvals, coordinating with the MEP team for specific utility and fire safety sign-offs. **Qualifications** * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture. * 8+ years of hands-on architectural experience, with a strong portfolio featuring complex, technology-integrated, or industrial facilities (e.g., data centers, advanced manufacturing, laboratories, or commercial agriculture). * Expert-level, daily-user proficiency in AutoCAD and industry-standard BIM platforms (Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360). * Proven track record of taking complex industrial or modular projects from concept through to detailed design and construction documentation. * Deep experience collaborating with specialized engineering teams, specifically integrating intensive Electrical, Cooling, Plumbing, and Fire Safety inputs into centralized architectural models. * Strong knowledge of UAE local authority regulations and building codes. * Exceptional spatial awareness, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently to generate high volumes of precise technical documentation.
