Zarya Construction Company is seeking a highly qualified and experienced candidate to join its team.Head of Legal and ComplianceWe are seeking an experienced Head of Legal and Compliance to lead and manage the company’s legal, regulatory, compliance, and government relations functions. The role includes handling legal matters, managing litigation and government-related procedures, drafting and reviewing contracts and legal documents, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, coordinating with government authorities, and protecting company interests by minimizing legal and compliance risks. The position also requires supporting dispute resolution matters, monitoring legal and regulatory changes, and maintaining corporate legal records and documentation. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Law with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in legal affairs, strong knowledge of Iraqi and Kurdistan Region laws and regulations, and experience in construction and corporate legal matters. Fluency in Kurdish and Arabic is mandatory, with good command of English, along with strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
